@ 200ok:
Have you tried foobar2000 with the ipod manager component?

I haven't used this component yet, but foobar2000 is the best audio player/manager on windows, so imho you may have some success by trying that.

Warning: installation and usage of the component may require some geek skills. :)

iTunes can scrobble video clips to last.fm, if you fill in artist and title info in the tags (tested with .mp4 file downloaded from youtube).
(works via the Last.fm scrobbler)

Easy to use, toolbar fits right into the task bar, easily import songs over the network from a windows or mac computer. Basically makes winamp look like crap.

I love iTunes, especially the UI enhancements of the latest version. I think the column browser is kindof awkward and redundant, but other than that, it's great!
